REMEDIAL MASSAGE THERAPY

MAITLAND’s best remedial massage therapists.

Remedial Massage assists with pain management, mobility, flexibility, and relaxation.

When do you need a Remedial Massage?

Remedial massage therapy (RMT) is excellent for relieving perceived muscle tension and stiffness, promoting relaxation, and managing stress-related muscle discomfort. In addition, RMT aims to assist with maintenance of muscle and joint nutrition when put under regular heavy load, as many industrial workers and sportspeople do.

If you have general muscle soreness or stiffness, you may benefit from a remedial massage session to help alleviate these symptoms.

Remedial massage therapy (RMT) can also aid in injury rehabilitation by creating greater mobility and less pain with movement. Some of our Remedial Therapists are trained in Strength & Conditioning as well, to be able to provide you with ongoing exercise if required.

Remedial Massage can come in many different approaches, and our friendly Remedial Massage Therapists will discuss with you which ones can be most effective in your management, as well as what you have had before that has been useful.

our Remedial Massage services include:

  • Hands-on Deep Tissue or Sports Therapy
  • Pregnancy Massage
  • Dry Needling
  • Instrument-Assisted Soft Tissue Manipulation (IASTM)
  • Myofascial Cupping
  • Tendon & ligament manipulation

Remedial Massage, Sports Massage, Tendon & Ligament Manipulation, Dry Needling, Instrument-assisted Soft Tissue Manipulation (IASTM), Myofascial Cupping

Growing up amongst multiple sporting disciplines including basketball, boxing, rugby league and tennis to name a few, I know what it is like to suffer from sporting injuries and setbacks. Through the injuries I sustained growing up I came to find out the best forms of treatment to settle my pain quicker and get back on the field sooner than I’d thought. This even included significant ligament tears in my ankles and knee, along with a long line of shoulder issues. I took it upon myself to learn these techniques used on me growing up, and tweaking them to my own style to help others the way I was helped growing up.

I have a strong belief that every person should strive to perform at their best every day. Whether that be on the sporting field, in the gym, at work or with your grandchildren. That’s the foundation and value we have built this company upon. I love being able to help people achieve things they never thought were possible.

Being a strength and conditioning coach also enables me to understand how our bodies work, the workload and lifestyle of those in training to aid in treatment approaches. My ultimate goal is to get everybody back to their optimal form ASAP and perform at their best in their greatest aspect of life

I have spent a few years teaching the diploma of remedial massage at a local college to do my part helping other therapists strive to perform great results for their clients. Now focusing solely on helping clients at Xceed Health and teaching other healthcare professionals on different topics that may help them further with their clientele, ‘ride the rising tide’, if one of us gets better, we all get better as an industry.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma of Remedial Massage
  • Cert IV Fitness
  • Cert IV Training & Assessing
  • Level 2 Sports Trainer (Sports Medicine Australia)
  • Strength & Conditioning Coach (Australian S&C Association)
